 Congratulations to the Lowry family on their purchase of Zia Park Classic for Georgia.  We are thrilled that Huey will be going to this knowledgeable and well known equestrian family. Looking forward to seeing him out and about with his new jockey!

Zia Park Classic is an 8 year old Welsh Cob x Arabian Riding Pony, he is by the well performed dressage Welsh Cob pony Seawynd Sundance Kid and out of Golden Aurora.  He is officially measured at 147.32 cm, microchipped and registered with Equestrian Australia and has a pony dressage competition licence.

Huey is a multi talented performance pony who has tried his hoof at everything with great success, attending clinics, dressage judges seminars as a demonstration pony, adult riders, show horse, dressage competitions, eventing and show jumping.

In 2017, trained and ridden by Lauren King,  Huey started off in the official dressage arena with many wins at Preliminary level with scores in the 70% field then a few training Novice starts with scores in the 70% field as well. He is a super moving pony with 3 great paces, an up hill canter, good walk and trot with a lot of swing. He has started training lateral movements with ease and has the talent to go to the top in the dressage arena,  always receiving great comments from judges, coaches and trainers.

In the show jumping arena he has a super technique, enthusiasm and confidence with plenty of scope. He seldom touches a rail and can put on a burst of speed and turn on a dime.  Huey has been busy with dressage and eventing so has not had a chance to do a lot of show jumping.  However, he easily won the 85 cm class at the Gidgegannup Agricultural Show after winning the unofficial Galloway Hack championship.

In the second half of 2017, piloted by Kenya Wilson, Huey started his eventing career at EvA 65, gaining 2ndplace at Gidge CNC and Wooroloo.  He then moved up to EvA 80 with ease,  placing in the top 5 at Alcoa, Brigadoon and Capel with great dressage scores and  bold show jump and cross country rounds. His best performance in 2017 was winning the Horseland Champion Young Event Pony of the Year competition with great scores for all three phases, including 9’s for his jumping technique and scope.  He is currently at the top of the WA Masters Series leaderboard for EvA 95, showing his quality with wins at Harvey and Moora

Huey has the ability to be a super star in whatever field you choose for him.  He is a pleasure to have around the stable,  very easy going and great to float, shoe, clip, tie up, wash and catch. No vices, 100% sound, vet checks welcome.
