Cherokee is purpose bred for the wonderful Gypsy cob temperament coupled with the best dressage lines for that perfect smaller ladies dressage mount. Cherokee’s sire, Ferrari is by Fiji R (Imp) and out of  Anky. Fiji R is by Florencio, World Champion of young dressage horses in 2004 scoring 9.8 as a 4 year old. He was also 5 year old and 6 year old World Champion Young Dressage Horse. Anky was a movement machine herself and has the imported stallion Effenglanz in her bloodline. A well-known WA horse starter has commented that Ferrari has a great temperament that he has only seen in a handful of breeding stallions in WA. Unfortunately due to an accident when he was young, Ferrari is ataxic and so has never competed himself. Before his accident he was phenomenal, exhibiting a compact explosion of movement with an incredible hind leg action. Cherokee’s dam is the Gypsy Cob beauty queen herself, Clononeen Zsa Zsa (Imp). Zsa Zsa is by the famous incredible stallion Clononeen 007 and out of the beautiful Clononeen Gigi. I was very excited to mix her Gypsy blood with that of Ferrari to breed Cherokee. We estimate Cherkee will mature to around 14.2 – 15H (currently approximately 13.3 -14h). He is eye catching in the extreme being chestnut and white and having the same explosive movement as his father, with two marble blue eyes and beautiful eyeliner! To top this incredible package off, he has his sire and dam’s incredible temperament. Cherokee has just turned 2 years old and has had a saddle on and some gentle work.
