He will require a confident rider as he likes direction & is around 16.2hh (& about the same wide). He has done 3 years of flat work, games & a small amount of jumping (due to age) at Pony Club. He has competed at a few breed shows and was ridden at the Andalusian nationals in 2016 where he placed in his prelim dressage tests & in hand classes. He has had numerous costumes draped over him & loves a good obstacle course. Shakespeare floats well (self loads, but can get inpatient if parked up), he is trimmed regularly (sometimes fidgets but otherwise easy), has had his teeth done yearly, vaccinated and wormed. At the start of 2017 he spent 4 weeks with Lee Warrington to get him back into work but mid 2017 he was spelled due to my pregnancy & hasn’t been worked since. He is going to waste in my paddock & deserves more than I can give him at this stage in my life. He has a scar from an old wound to his right hind that will be classes a small fault if showing. He would suit a home that would take it slowly with him & take the time to learn his quirks. He responds very well to ground work & is very respectful on the ground. He may try to get away with things if you let him because he isn’t a silly horse & will take the opportunities you give him. I would want a 4 week trial period to make sure he settles in well & to ensure he is brought back into work slowly. I am considering a long term free lease, with an option to buy. General care expenses (feed, worming, dentist) & pet insurance would be required. Unfortunately I do not have the time he needs & deserves with my new role as mum.
