Description
After more than 3 great years together Moe is very sadly for sale due to university commitments and no longer being able to afford to keep a horse. He would be the perfect second horse for a gutsy teenager looking to do a little bit of everything/pony club. Moe did not start his proper career until he was 10 and for this reason has many, many years left in him.
In the time I’ve had Moe I have taken him to many different shows, pony club rallies and camps, cross country training days, the beach, trail rides, and much more. While my focus is mainly on show jumping having competed consistently around 80 with me but up to 1.15m with his previous owner. I have recently taken him to a few dressage outings and received very positive comments and marks from the judges. Moe can be ridden out with others or alone, and is not fussed at all by traffic (ridden along busy roads to get to the trails weekly).
Moe will require a capable rider as he can get pushy on the ground so requires a firm hand. He is soft and responsive and has always been ridden in a snaffle. Moe is very enjoyable to ride for a confident rider as they bring out the best in him; so is not suitable for beginners. This being said, he does not have a nasty bone in his body and I have never felt unsafe on him.
Moe is easy to float/load, clip (falls asleep), lunge (voice commands) and trim. While the previous owner shod him occasionally due to the use of studs, I have never shod him as he has proven to have good hard feet that don’t need it. Moe is a fantastic doer and is happy being paddocked with or without others.
Moe is currently in full work being ridden 4-5 times a week.
I have heaps of photos and videos available on request.
No time wasters as this is a very hard sale, genuine inquiries only please.
