Description
Spike is a lovely gelding who will suit a viriety of diciplines. He was bred to play polocrosse but is too tall for us. Could make a good intermediate or mens polocrosse horse.
His dam is a unregistered Australian Stock Horse. Her sire was Finur who has sired some excellent polocrosse horses.
His sire is a horse bred for polocrosse and performance sports. There is a full description of him in the “stallions” section of Cavaletti.
He is broken, self loads in float, travelled in truck, feet handled, and been out and about a bit. Had a cople of preparations. Has been stick and balled for polocrosse. Starting to pop over little jumps willingly. Has basics of walk, trot, canter, sidepass. Can be ridden in group or out on his own. He needs an experienced rider only as he is young.
Spike is a gentle and willing horse, who I am sure will a lovely horse when mature. He is friendly and kind with a good attitude, and seems easy to train so far. I beleive he would jump well. His older full brother is starting to go really well with jumping.
He is not registered currently but is elegible to be registered with the ASHS as a first cross.
You can see more pictures of him and his siblings on our facebook page “Springbrook Stock Horses”.
