Description
To Whom It May Concern,
I am 21 years of age and have spent the last 6 months (and am still currently employed) working at Thoroughbred Studs in Queensland. In that time I have worked with yearlings and mares doing a variety of day to day duties, which has exposed and provided me with knew skills and knowledge.
Whilst also being over east, I started a few horses for people as a side job, I absolutely loved it.
I am looking at returning home to Western Australia (Woorooloo) in a few weeks and I am looking for full time work in the Equine Industry.
I completed year 10, 11 and 12 at Western Australian College of Agriculture, Harvey and graduated in December 2014. I have 2 great passions in my life, horses and farming.
I started riding horses at a young age and have owned my own horses for the last 7 years. At college, as well as learning about Agriculture, I was enrolled in the Equine section where I had my own horse on site. I was also fortunate to meet and train with a horse trainer for the years I was at college (out of school time). I learnt various skills of horse handling and how to deal with different horse behaviour’s. With this knowledge, I have been able to help others with problems they have encountered with their own horses. I have competed in Team Penning and also done a small amount of camp drafting. I have participated in and fence sat at various clinics.
I have worked with both young and old horses, halter broken foals and last year broke in my young quarter horse.
I have great communication skills and computer skills. I am able to work in a team or by myself, I have great people skills and I am also physically fit and healthy.
I am a hard worker and put in 110% in everything I do and I am always looking at opportunities to improve myself.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours sincerely,
Skye Fanderlinden
