Description
Eden is a tb, 10 years old and 15’2 with a nice chunky chest one might think she has QH in her. Before I got her she was used as a brood mare twice with a Clydesdale and produced gorgeous foals. I was told she is a great mum and seems to enjoy that role.
For the 7 months I have had her she has proven to be a non-marey mare. She is keen to please and has a very good work ethic. I have used natural horsemanship on her and she is very quick and eager to learn. She is sensitive and would require a gentle rider. She is still green, I have used her mostly for arena work and bush hacks. She is very solid and does not spook easily, not even at a dog charging at her right next to a fence this is why I would also recommend her to a confident beginner. Eden is fine with bicycles, dogs, cars, motorbikes you name it I have never seen her freak out at something. She has no rear, bolt, buck or bite in her at all, is a very good doer and just walks up a float without a fuzz, easy for the farrier too.
I have been working with barefoot farriers to get her hoofs hard and solid as I planned barefoot endurance and they are coming along nicely. She can be a bit girthy with two point girths but that is no big deal she will not bite just may pull her ears. There is no nasty in her at all she is truly an amazing horse for a mare. My plan was to use her for endurance riding but she is not suited for high level competition and I am therefore selling her for hacking and as a ARC/PC horse she would be fun with. She has a strong engine in her hind when she canters which she is still unbalanced and would need some training, typical for tbs.
The biggest part she has going for her is her temperament: she is gentle, keen to work and a safe horse to ride.
She will only go to the best home as this is very upsetting news for me and I would like to know that she is looked after, any horse deserves that and then she does particularly.
