Harness trained, starting under-saddle, good to float (self loads), shoe (generally kept barefoot), worm, clip/trim, plait up, stand and wait in bay/at float when at shows etc.

This is a real opportunity to progress a future superstar pleasure, show or performance horse. Darcy is a beautiful example of the modern standardbred, full of personality and potential. He is a special boy who is so easy to love and he will go to an approved home only.

Darcy is an adorably affectionate boy who loves attention. He thrives being around people and enjoys work. While still green under-saddle, he has a lovely balanced trot. He is athletic and versatile and would excel in a variety of disciplines. His canter still requires work however it will not take much at all to have him balanced and going nicely in the canter. He has never paced under-saddle.

Darcy has been taken to a number of halter shows, behaves like a true gentleman, always bringing home several 1st or 2nd ribbons and at his last show, he won champion gelding.

He has been taken to the beach and absolutely loves playing in the water.

Darcy is currently stabled and is a pleasure for the agistment centre owners to handle.

He is green in his under-saddle education and does require an experienced and confident rider to be his leader as he learns his new job as a ridden horse. He is not a ‘plod along’ type. He thrives on interaction and while he is incredibly sweet, is not suitable for a beginner or a nervous horseperson due to the training/education he requires under-saddle.

Darcy is currently being brought into work under-saddle by trainer Louise Crosbie.

He will come with various rugs and his nameplate halter.
