Description
Approx 16.3hh Hugo is a genuine big TB that has taken me from a cheeky 14.2 SH to completing EA105 events in 3 years.
Sold as a weanling this Black Friars gelding has never been near a race track.
He is the type of horse you can take xc one day and put a beginner on for a trail ride the next.
A steady prelim eventer with runs at the 105cm level during 2018 Hugo would be perfect as a confidence builder as you move up through the grades or as a safe horse for a taller teenager, or male rider.
No problems with ditches, water or fill and never runs away with you on xc, if anything he can be a bit slow if you let him.
I have focused on his dressage to build his strength and he is easily training elementary movements.
His affable nature means he isn't the sharpest horse so if you get upset knocking a rail in the showjumping he isn't the horse for you.
A lovely horse to ride he is nevertheless a big horse and takes strength to package him together and get the best out of him.
In the three years, I have had Hugo he has had one stone bruise and lost one shoe. Stays fat on ad lib hay and grass and gets along well with most horses.
Solid in the float, a favourite of the farrier, and the horse friends choose to accompany their babies out on their first trail ride.
A reluctant sale but it's time to compete a single horse and I want to focus on my smaller compact horse that suits me better.
