Dark Sparrow KP is by imported charismatic Stallion Jack Sparrow KP.  Dark Sparrow is in B Book 2 and he is the son of imported Studbook Ster mare Elma.

Standing at 166cm, Jack Sparrow KP is a big boned, more Baroque type friesian horse, but nevertheless has shown to still have the talent and ability of a modern type friesian.  He is very much an active competitor in the sport of dressage, his rock solid character and fun loving ‘can-do’ attitude makes him an absolute pleasure to be proud to ride in public. Not to mention his numerous Championships across a multitude of disciplines – Dressage, Inhand Breed and Ridden Breed.

Dark Sparrow KP is a very nice uphill foal,  with a very impressive posture and much front.  His long elegant neck and long legs show that he will be of a modern sport physique.  He has already shown much talent in his movements by the ease of the way he moves with flamboyant knee action combined with suppleness and an excellent hind leg with a hock that he places well high underneath his body.   He has a FULL PAPER. This means on his Mother Line he has atleast 3 generations of Ster or better. His Dam, our imported Ster mare, Elma has previously foaled 2 fillies, the first retained by the Stud in Holland and was awarded the Ster predicate as a 3 year old, and the second is our Ymke who is the Triple State Champion Friesian of the Keuring, and now also mother of the Best Bred Australian Friesian for 2011 and 2015, and mother of WA Reserve State Champion 2015 and NSW State Champion 2015 and 2nd Premium Ster daughter! This shows the depth of quality on Dark Sparrow’s Motherline.

On his mother’s side, Elma’s sire is the most Legendary Friesian in the whole of the Breed, the most famous and revered – Leffert Preferent 306 Sport. Leffert is the ultimate proven sire he reproduces the highest of quality and he is a sports star himself, featuring many times over in the Friesian Quadrilles, competed at Dressage at higher levels, successful in the Show Carriage, and held numerous World titles. The Dam’s Sire of Elma is Jakob 302 who also holds the Sport Predicate for Dressage and at his peak was one of the most successful Dressage Friesians.

He does not have one mare in atleast 5 Generations of his pedigree that is anything less than the coveted Ster predicate.

Dark Sparrow’s half sister Ymke KP is the TRIPLE WA STATE CHAMPION FRIESIAN of 2009, 2011 and 2013 ANZFHS National Keuring and also has her STER predicate, not to mention many prized accolades as a breeding mother, including a ster daughter. His other sister TRYNKE K. was retained in Holland by the stud and awarded STER as a 3 year old.
